About Us

Moonlight Valley Farm, LLC™ was founded in April of 2006 when we moved to our current 10 acre farm located amongst the rolling hills and apple orchards in Aspers, PA.  We are a fully licensed/inspected PA Department of Agriculture daylily nursery and have been growing and selling daylilies since 2011.  There are over 700+ daylily varieties that we field grow on our farm.   Daylilies are sold via our website and can be shipped or picked up at our farm by appointment.

In 2010, we began raising emus and in 2016, we introduced the first rare white and blonde emus to our farm.  Our farm is now home to 23 emus (7 whites, 11 blondes and 5 browns (standards).  We sell emu chicks as livestock each year from December through June.   We also sell emu feathers and various other crueltry free feathers.

Our farm is also home to our flock of 24 Sebastopol geese, of which we offer their hatching eggs each year beginning in February.  We raise a variety of domestic waterfowl including, Australian Black Swans, Ayam Ketawa (Laughing) Chickens, Silkies, guineas, peafowl, & Call ducks.

Our website features plasma cut metal signs and metal art, daylilies, cruelty free feathers, hatching eggs and more!

In 2023, we added wild waterfowl to our farm and constructed a 2nd large pond as well as 3 covered aviaries.  Our focus is on the conservation of wild waterfowl species.  Our goal is strong genetic diversity to strengthen the number of captive bred waterfowl for conservation purposes.  We will eventually be offering a line of handcrafted cruelty free feather earrings made from our naturally molted duck, geese, pheasant, peacock, and pigeon feathers.

Due to enhanced biosecurity because of the recent avian influenza in the US, we are now a closed farm and only allow visitors and pickups by appointment at our garage area.  We do not offer farm tours due to enhanced biosecurity protocols at this time.

WE ARE NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

You may order online and choose "store pickup" to pickup your purchases  by appointment or you may choose to have your items shipped if you are not local.   Note: we do not ship live poultry/waterfowl or emus.  We only offer shipping on hatching eggs, metal signs and daylilies.

Effective August 2025, we have decided to downsize our farm offerings and no longer offer handcrafted soaps, lotions, or emu oil products.  We will continue our main focus of emu and waterfowl breeding, metal signs and daylilies.

All visitors for farm pickups will be instructed to park at our upper garage (next to the large red and silver metal rooster) and use the foot sanitizer bath prior to entering the garage for pickups.  We ask that you do not wander around our property since we practice strict biosecurity for the protection of our birds/waterfowl/poultry & emus.   You may see our emus and geese through our fencing, but for the safety of our birds, we do not allow anyone directly in our pastures.

ALL VISITS TO OUR FARM AND PICKUPS FOR BIRDS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Please Note:   We are not a petting zoo and at this time do not offer farm tours due to biosecurity.  We do not display our poultry or waterfowl to the public since they can become highly stressed when approached by strangers, especially during nesting season.

At this time, we DO NOT allow any pets (dogs, cats, etc) on our property due to protecting our birds from unnecessary stresses of having strange animals in their vicinity.  We have Livestock Guardian Dogs in our fenced areas, so we cannot allow your dogs/pets on the property as our dogs jobs are to protect our poultry/waterfowl and emus and our dogs will see your pet dog as a threat.

Disclaimer:  All sales of waterfowl, emus and poultry take place at the time of pickup at our farm.  Your order on the website reserves your birds for pickup.  All sales of poultry, waterfowl and emu chicks are for livestock/agricultural use only.  Moonlight Valley Farm, LLC does not monitor each customer's use once the birds leave our property.  Thank you!
